Explorations in Technology (7)                    1 Semester

The Explorations in Technology course has been designed so that self-directed students can successfully and confidently explore and experience technology and technology topics.   Students in the technology modules work individually or with one other person to complete daily records, research questions, worksheets, hands-on activities, module guides (pretests), and post-tests.  Students select modules that interest them the most, but they are not allowed to select their module partner.  During the semester students will rotate though eight different modules spending seven days at each module.  At each module, students are required to manage their work station equipment including computers, TV/VCRs, video cameras, and other module equipment.  A pretest is taken on the first day of each module, and a post-test is taken on the last day.  This helps measure the student's progress during the module.
